Camp Overview
The modern game is dependant on fluid movement, mobile players and is played at pace. Players are required to have a great deal of technical ability and tactical understanding. This understanding is based on time and space. When on offense, time and space must be created through technical ability and tactical movement. On defense, the ability of the player to understand how and when to press to deny space is paramount. Players coming to the overnight camp will be shown the demands of the modern game, they will be required to play in multiple systems, be shown the technical ability that is required to be this flexible, and be asked to exhibit tactical understanding to do this at pace.

The overnight camp is there to give the player a feeling for life on the campus of Lamar University. This experience will be an intense 4 days and three nights of the highest caliber of training and playing geared towards the preparation of the player to move to the next level. The daily schedule will consist of three sessions involving the technical and tactical improvement of the player. The morning session will consist of individual and small group tactics while the afternoon will be about larger group and team tactics. The twilight games will be held every night so that players can learn how to play in many different formations, different positions and with different players.

July 13-17

Camp Overview
This camp is designed for both boys and girls between the ages of 5-15. Our philosophy is to create a camp that will improve the basic skills of young soccer players with qualified instructors in a fun atmosphere. The camp will provide a positive learning environment for basic technical work and fun game/match play for all campers. These skills will be taught to the players through exciting exercises, games, and contests. Camp staff members will be comprised of current and former players.

Discount Information
One of the following two discounts is available for the Soccer Skills Summer camp:
Sibling Discount: Receive 10% of the total cost of registration if you are enrolling two or more children from the same family.
Team Discount: Receive 10% of the total cost of registration if you are enrolling four or more members from the same club or school team.
