BEAUMONT, Texas - The first 1,000 fans through the gate for Saturday's season opener against Oklahoma Panhandle State will receive several giveaways sponsored by Invista. The Cardinals kickoff the 2013 campaign Saturday against Oklahoma Panhandle State.

The first 1,000 fans to enter through Gates 1 and 2 will receive battery-operated mini-fans, thunder sticks and koozies. In addition to the items sponsored by Invista, 1,000 fans will also receive Lamar schedule posters.

Lamar will also once again be hosting the Fun Zone for every home game. The Fun Zone has been moved to the practice fields next to Provost Umphrey Stadium for the 2013 season. It will consist of three bouncy houses from DelivertheFun.com for Saturday's contest. The Fun Zone is slated to open at 4:30 p.m.

The Cardinals kick off the season Saturday against Oklahoma Panhandle State. The game against the Aggies is slated to begin at 7 p.m. from Provost Umphrey Stadium. Since the return of football, Lamar has not lost a home opener, outscoring opponents, 110-14.
