Brad McGowan was named assistant athletics director for development at Lamar in December 2004.
McGowan's responsibilities include supervising four full-time staff of both the Development and Marketing offices, overseeing the gift processes for all donations directed toward Lamar Athletics, managing the strategy for all marketing and fundraising efforts, and acting as the Executive Director for the Cardinal Club.
Prior to Lamar, McGowan was the executive Director of the Southeast Texas Family Resource Center, responsible for the program development, financial stability, and growth of the organization.
McGowan graduated from Lamar in 1997, before earning his master's degree at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo. He returned to Beaumont in 2000.
