Lamar University graduate Brianna Meadows was named Production Coordinator in the Lamar Athletics' Video Department on Oct. 3, 2011.
In this role, Meadows will coordinate all post-productions for Lamar athletic events, coordinate broadcast crews for live athletic events, assist with the control room operations and assist in overseeing a group of student-workers.
Meadows also serves Lamar as the SETCAST Coordinator for the university, responsible for the taping and airing of all local government meetings.
A 2010 LU graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Meadows worked as an independent contractor prior to joining Lamar. As a private contractor, Meadows provided video editing, photography and videography services.
Meadows, who served an internship in the Department of Public Relations at Lamar prior to graduation, has won numerous awards from the Press Club of Southeast Texas for her work. Included is a first place showing in the category of Institutional/Corporate Video in 2011.
In addition to graduating from Lamar, Meadows has a strong tie to the university as she is the great-granddaughter of former LU regent A.H. (Bob) Montagne. Montagne served 22 years as a Lamar regent and was instrumental in the construction of the basketball arena which is named in his honor.
