Helene Thill is in her sixth year with the Lamar athletics department after being named assistant athletic director for Academic Affairs on August 15, 2001.

Thill is responsible for advising and registering student-athletes in the Cardinals 14 varsity sports, as well as setting up study hall and tutorials. She is also the department's senior woman's administrator and oversees the women's coaches and athletic programs.

Thill comes to Lamar after spending two and a half years as an athletic academic advisor at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas. She also oversaw the department's study hall program and was the tutor coordinator.

A Las Vegas native, Thill received a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice from UNLV in 1995.
