FRISCO – After placing three on the Southland Conference’s All-Academic team in 2012, the Lamar baseball team bettered the feat this year as Eric Harrington, Darian Johnson and Jude Vidrine earned first team honors and Chase Angelle took home second team.

FRISCO - After leaving the Southland Conference after the 1987 season, the Lamar baseball team followed a circuitous route back into the league in 1999. Unfortunately for the rest of the schools, the Cardinals quickly returned to the conference's elite, and on Thursday, 10 players were named to the 2000s All-Decade Team with Jim Gilligan taking home Coach of the Decade honors.

FRISCO - If the 1970s established Lamar as a baseball power in the Southland Conference, the 1980s certainly continued that tradition as the Jim Gilligan-led Cardinals took home three championships in the decade, and on Tuesday, the league honored the achievement, naming seven players to the All-Decade team and Gilligan as the Co-Coach of the Decade.
