Lamar Athletic Training Internship Program

Thank you for your interest in the Athletic Training Program at Lamar University. Lamar supports an internship program for future athletic trainers. Upon successful completion of your required courses and over 1800 hours of practical experience, you will be eligible to sit for the exam to become a Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT) in the State of Texas. Application to the internship program is competitive. Students may begin the program in either the fall or the spring, although Freshmen students are only accepted to start in the spring semester. Applications for the fall 2012 semester are due on Friday, March 9, 2012. Applications for the spring 2013 semester are due on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012. Interviews are held following the application deadlines, and accepted students are notified around the end of the semester of their application.
