The Cardinal Club, first established in 1969, is the principal fundraising arm of Lamar Athletics. Made up of hundreds of enthusiastic and loyal supporters, the Cardinal Club supports each of the 16 Lamar collegiate sports by providing funds primarily for student-athlete scholarship opportunities. Each year, Lamar Athletics awards nearly $1,000,000 in student athlete scholarships. That cost will increase to over $2,000,000 with the addition of football. Without the financial support of the Cardinal Club, many of those scholarship opportunities would not be available.
Besides having the knowledge that their gift is supporting the student-athlete, both on the court and in the classroom, our members are also eligible to receive some great benefits that come with their membership. First option for Priority Football Season Tickets, Basketball Priority Parking Passes, invitations to away-game bus trips, and the Sports' media guides are just a few of the great benefits available to our members.
