BEAUMONT – Historically, Lamar stands out as one of the Southland Conference’s most recognized baseball programs, and on Wednesday, the 2013 edition will look to carry on that proud tradition as the Cardinals will open up play at the Southland Championship Baseball Tournament at Constellation Field in Sugar Land.
BEAUMONT – After putting together the first winning conference record since 2009, the Lamar baseball team capped its strong regular season by placing a league-leading eight Cardinals on the All-Southland teams.
BEAUMONT – It wasn’t easy for the Lamar baseball team on Saturday afternoon, but the relief staff was able to hold off a late Nicholls rally to hold on for a 6-5 win over the Colonels at Vincent-Beck Stadium.
BEAUMONT – It was an inauspicious beginning for the Lamar baseball team on Friday night, but the Cardinals were able to bounce back from an opening three-run deficit to win 5-4 over visiting Nicholls at Vincent-Beck Stadium.
