High School: Named to the Associated Press Class 4A all-state second-team after registering 98 tackles, including 29 for loss, 14 sacks and three pass breakups as a senior at Nederland High School ... Added 27 quarterback hurries and 16 quarterback knockdowns ... Named First-Team All-District 20-4A and to the Port Arthur News Super Team as a junior and senior ... Helped Nederland to back-to-back 7-0 District 20-4A titles as a junior and senior, including a combined 23-4 record over his final two seasons ... FB HIGHLIGHTS: The Cardinals win 42-27 over Grambling

(BEAUMONT, TX) ; The Lamar Cardinals opened up their 2014 season against the visiting Grambling State Tigers. Caleb Berry passed for 389 yards and 5 touchdowns in the opener. Mark Roberts caught 2 of Berry touchdown passes and racked up 139 yards receiving. Reggie Begleton caught 12 passes for 119 yards and scored one touchdown. Lamar is now 1-0 and will travel to College Station to face the Texas A&M Aggies next weekend. Kickoff of set for 6:30 P.M. on September 6th on the SEC network.
