Junior College: Named honorable mention All-Southwest Junior College Football Conference as a sophomore at Kilgore Junior College.

High School: Helped Cayuga High School to the Class A Division 2 state title as a senior ... Was named First-Team All-District 20-A and was a second-team all-state selection as a senior.

FB HIGHLIGHTS: The Cardinals win 42-27 over Grambling

(BEAUMONT, TX) ; The Lamar Cardinals opened up their 2014 season against the visiting Grambling State Tigers. Caleb Berry passed for 389 yards and 5 touchdowns in the opener. Mark Roberts caught 2 of Berry touchdown passes and racked up 139 yards receiving. Reggie Begleton caught 12 passes for 119 yards and scored one touchdown. Lamar is now 1-0 and will travel to College Station to face the Texas A&M Aggies next weekend. Kickoff of set for 6:30 P.M. on September 6th on the SEC network.
