BEAUMONT, Texas -
Lamar head football coach Ray Woodard has schedule his Signing Day Press Conference for Wednesday, Feb. 5th at 2 p.m. in the Dauphin Complex meeting room. National Signing Day is the first official day high school athletes can sign a letter of intent with the college of their choice.
Woodard will go over the entire class discussing each athlete, as well as taking questions from the media. The coaching staff will also have video highlights of each signee.
The 2013 class paid huge dividends for the Cardinals this past season. Running back Kade Harrington set a school single-season rushing record and was named Southland Freshman of the Year, as well as being named a Freshman All-American. In addition to Harrington's accolades, several members of Lamar's first recruiting class received conference and national attention this season. Lamar set a record for players named to the all-conference teams led by defensive lineman Jesse Dickson who earned College Sports Madness SLC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Dickson was a member of Woodard's inaugural signing class.
