BEAUMONT, Texas - Lamar University football fans who can't wait for the Sept. 8 home opener against Prairie View A&M now have an easy way to attend the Sept. 1 opener at Louisiana-Lafayette.

The Lamar athletic department is organizing an excursion to the game. The bus will depart the Montagne Center at noon that day, arriving in time for a 3 p.m. tailgate party. The bus will return to Lamar at the conclusion of the 6 p.m. game.

The cost of $50 per person includes transportation, game ticket, lunch, snacks and drinks on the bus.
