BEAUMONT, Texas -
Lamar's regular-season finale against McNeese State will be broadcast on ESPN3 announced Southland Conference officials Thursday evening. It will be the fifth time this season the Cardinals (4-6/1-4 SLC) have been televised.
The Cardinals, who are 0-4 in televised games this season, enter the week with a shot at setting a new program record for wins. Lamar takes to the field Saturday at Provost Umphrey Stadium to face Stephen F. Austin. If the Cardinals can record the victory Saturday against SFA they will tie a record for wins since bringing back the program.
There is also quite a bit on the line for the Cowboys as well. Entering the game with an 8-2 (.800) overall record, McNeese State is still in the hunt for a conference championship. With only one loss on the season, McNeese State is only a game back of Southeastern Louisiana in the league standings.
Lamar has appeared on Fox Sports, ESPN3, the Southland Network and Comcast Sports Houston during the 2013 campaign. Only one of those games was played in Beaumont.
