GAINESVILLE, Texas -

Lamar closed out the first round in a two-way tie for 10th after firing a 17-over 297. The score had Lamar battling against two of the nation top-10 teams. LU was tied with No. 8 Alabama-Birmingham, and two strokes ahead of No. 5 Central Florida.

The Cardinals return to action Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. Berglund will be the first Cardinal to take on the course, and the rest of the team will follow in 10-minute intervals. Lamar will be paired with Florida and No. 24 Liberty from the 10th tee.
