Lamar Finishes Seventh, Rolland 14th At Lone Star Invitational

SAN ANTONIO -- The Lamar men's golf team shot a final round 308 and finished in seventh place at the Lone Star Invitational at Briggs Ranch Monday.
The Cards totaled 895 for the event. Texas A&M claimed the team title with an 848 score, 10 shots ahead of runner-up Texas and 20 ahead of third-place SMU.
Lamar was led individually by Pierre-Alexis Rolland, as his 77 pushed his 54-hole score to a 3-over-par 219 and tie for 14th. Hugues Joannes tied for 32nd at 225 following a 76 on Monday - the lowest by a Cardinal.
Kevin Hesbois finished the tourney in 41st place at 228, MJ Daffue tied for 49th at 232 and James Dalthorp was 54th at 235.
The LU men will return to action next week when they participate in the Baylor Intercollegiate at Royal Oaks Country Club in Dallas. The first round will begin on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.. Second round action will immediately follow the conclusion of the morning round via continuous play.
LU is scheduled to play with Oklahoma and Iowa on Monday.
