Rain Suspends Play At Midway Point Of Baylor Intercollegiate

DALLAS -- The Lamar men's golf team found itself in tenth place midway through the second round of the Baylor Intercollegiate before heavy rains suspended play late Monday afternoon at Royal Oaks Country Club. At the time play was suspended, Lamar was 22-over-par with three of its five players through 27 of the scheduled 36 holes. The Cards shot an opening-round 302 and were four over in the second round. LU's morning 18 consisted of a 74 from Pierre-Alexis Rolland, a trio of 76s from Kevin Hesbois, Xavier Feyaerts and Hugues Joannes, and a 78 off the card of MJ Daffue. Rolland and Daffue each made the turn in the afternoon round at even par to lead the LU scoring in round two. Iowa (5-over) led by one stroke, followed by Texas A&M (6-over) in second play. New Mexico (10-over), Texas (13-over) and SMU (14-over) round out the top five. Host Baylor is in sixth place at 15-over. The final 12 holes of the second round will begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. CDT and will be immediately followed by the final round. 10 Lamar 302*
