BEAUMONT - Lamar University was well represented on the 2013 All-Southland Conference Men's Golf Teams as Stephane Dubois and Erik Knudsen earned second-team honors and Greg Wigginswas named to the third-team.

A junior from Brantford, Ontario, Dubois led the Cardinals with a 74.38 scoring average for 34 rounds. The Wisconsin transfer posted four straight top 20 finishes to close the spring season, including an 11th place showing at the Southland Conference Tournament last week.

Knudsen finished just behind Dubois in scoring average at 74.71 strokes per round with three top 10 finishes on the season. A native of Pocketvalley, Norway, Knudsen placed eighth at the conference tournament and tied for sixth at the Bayou City Collegiate Championships earlier in the spring.

A redshirt senior, Knudsen was the only player back off last year's conference championship team. Knudsen helped the Cardinals advance to the 2012 NCAA Championships after a fourth place team finish at the NCAA Greensboro Regional in which he carded a final round 71.

Wiggins earned third-team honors after an outstanding freshman campaign that saw him post a 75.12 scoring average. A native of Hamburg, Germany, Wiggins led the Cardinals with a tie for fourth place at the Southland Conference Tournament.

Sophomore Pep Angles of Central Arkansas took home Golfer of the Year honors after leading the conference with a 72.60 scoring average. Southeastern Louisiana's Eamon Bradley was selected Freshman of the Year and SLU's Tim Baldwin was picked for Coach of the Year. Logan Boatner of Sam Houston State was the Newcomer of the Year.

Joining Dubois and Knudsen on the second-team are Austen Moix of Central Arkansas, Grady Brame of Southeastern Louisiana and Blake Pugh of SFA. The third-team included UCA's James Newton, SLU's Nicholas Inderthal, Andri Bjornsson of Nicholls and Justin McKay of Sam Houston.

In addition to Angles and Bradley, the first-team included Rhys West of SLU, Mitchell McElroy of SFA and Sam Houston's Albert Miner.

The teams were announced Monday by the league office following a vote of the conference's head coaches and sports information directors.
