Yvonne Niederbracht is in her first season as an assistant coach for the men's and women's tennis programs. Niederbracht, a native of Petershagen, Germany, comes to Lamar after a brilliant playing career at Indiana Pennsylvania, where she was named first team all conference in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference all four years she competed. She compiled a career record of 72-12 in singles and 64-18 in doubles as well as a 42-24 team record. Along with all conference nominations, Niederbracht was named the ITA East Regional senior player of the year for 2004-05, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference player of the year and was ranked as high as 35th nationally in singles and 25th in doubles. Her coaching experience includes teaching private lessons to high school and college players in Indiana, Pa., working as a counselor at Kutsher's Sports Academy as well as five years of working experience at Tennis Club Lahde in Germany. |
