Men's Tennis Falls to Arkansas-Little Rock 7-0

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Lamar University men's fell to 0-3 on the year with a 7-0 loss at UALR Friday afternoon in Little, Rock, Ark.

The match started with the Cardinals dropping the doubles point, as ULAR took all three contests. German Perez and Dinko Halachev took down Filip Kanczula and Maciej Bogusz 8-6 at No. 1 doubles, Edson Abrao and Rain Roigas defeated Emmanuel Olivier and Tyler Cobb 8-3 at No. 2 while Yoann Chartron and Carlos Nunez took out David Wanja and Mario Jancic 8-3 at No. 3.

In singles play ULAR again swept the Cardinals, as Lamar was unable to pick up any sets, despite playing for set point during the first set of several matches.

Halachev took down Kanczula 6-1, 6-2at No. 1 singles, Jancic was defeated 7-6, 6-3 by Roigas at the number two spot and Abrao defeated Bogusz 7-5, 6-1 at No. 3. In the four spot, Perez defeated Olivier 7-5, 6-3, Gerard Galindo took down Andres Medina 6-4, 6-1 at No. 5 and Juan Carlos Nunez defeated Wanja 6-0, 6-1 at the six spot.

The Cardinals will be in action again on Saturday, when they take on Oral Roberts at 6 p.m. in Little Rock, Ark.
