HOUSTON, Texas - The Lamar University men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Rice University in a non-conference match Saturday.

Three Lamar players extended their matches to three sets, with Robert Lee dropping a hard-fought 6-7 (6-8), 6-4, 7-6 (10-7) decision to Isamu Tachibana at third singles.

Lamar (1-1) will host Centenary at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Rice (2-0) is ranked 35th in the nation in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association ratings.
