Lamar Tops Centenary, 7-0
Jan. 25, 2010 BEAUMONT, Texas - Richard Filkuka posted an impressive 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles to lead the Lamer University men's tennis team to a 7-0 victory over Centenary College in a non-conference match Sunday. Filkuka, the reigning Southland Conference Player of the Week, cruised over Evan Magill of Centenary to improve to 2-1 at first singles on the season for the Cardinals (2-1). The Cardinals lost just one set in singles competition and took two of the three doubles matches on the day. Lamar returns to action at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5 when it hosts St. Edward's. LAMAR
