Men's Tennis falls 6-1 at Weber State

OGDEN, Utah - Rob Lee was the lone Cardinal winner on Sunday as the Lamar men's tennis team fell 6-1 at Weber State.

Lee bounced back from an opening set loss to Jakub Gewert at No. 1 to win 4-6, 7-6 (14-12), 10-7.

In other matches, Bruno Snyder lost 6-4, 6-2 to Oliver Good at line three, Steven McMullan fell 6-4, 6-4 to Caio Poitena at the fourth spot, and Sanjay Goswami beat Mikko Rajamaki 6-4, 7-5 at No. 5. Trey Crysel fell 6-1, 6-0 to Ryan Garner at the final spot.

Carl-Philip Lindqvist did not participate in singles, falling by default to Todd Fought at No. 2.

In doubles, the teams of Lee and McMullan as well as Crysel and Lindqvist lost 8-3. Snyder and Rajamaki fell 8-5.

The Cards will return to action next month with a conference showdown vs. Oral Roberts at Thompson Family Tennis Center.
