Men's Tennis continues play at ITA Regional
Oct. 21, 2012
FT. WORTH, Texas - Rob Lee recorded a singles victory and picked up another win in doubles to conclude the second day of competition at the ITA Texas Regional on the campus of TCU. Lee started the day off with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Javier Pujol of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, but fell 7-6, 7-6 to UTPA's Thomas Panoulas. Singles would not be as kind to the rest of the Cardinal line up as Mikko Rajamaki fell 6-3, 6-4 to Harrison Adams of Texas A&M. Carl-Philip Lindqvist lost in a tough 6-3, 3-6, 10-8 decision to UT Arlington's Sebastian Erimicioiu, and Bruno Snyder lost 3-6, 6-3, 10-3 Robert Verzaal of Baylor. "The results may not show it, but I felt like we played better today," head coach Scott Shankles said. "We just didn't get the wins to show for it. We started off better, but we couldn't finish the way we needed." In doubles action, the team of Snyder and Lee won 8-5 over Facundo Lugones and Blake Wiggins of TCU. Lindqvist and Rajamaki lost 8-4 to UTA's Sebastian Gomez and Soren Goritzka. #LUTennis
