BEAUMONT, Texas - The Lamar University Tennis Facility will be the site of plenty of college tennis this weekend as the Lamar women's team opens its spring season with three matches, while the men's team will host two matches.

The action is set to get under way at 9 a.m. Friday as the Lady Cardinals host St. Edward's at 9 a.m. The Lamar men will take on St. Edward's at 1 p.m. Friday before the Lady Cards wrap up the day by hosting Tyler Junior College at 3 p.m.

This will be the fourth match of the spring for the LU men (2-1), who are coming off a 7-0 win over Centenary College.

Action resumes at 1 p.m. Saturday as the men's tennis team hosts Florida A&M. The weekend wraps up with a women's match at noon Sunday as the Lady Cardinals entertain Louisiana-Monroe.

There is no admission charge for Lamar home tennis events.
