HOUSTON - The Lamar University men's and women's track teams take to the track again this Friday, when the Cardinals take on a 16-team field at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Friday afternoon at the Yeoman Field House at the University of Houston.

The meet is set to begin at 2 p.m. with the field events and the running events will begin at 3 p.m. Cost of admission for the Leonard Hilton Memorial is $5 per person.

The Cardinals enter the meet on the heels of a solid showing at the Purple Tiger Indoor Track and Field Classic at LSU last weekend. Lamar brought home five first place finishes, led by Southland Conference Athletes of the Week Clerc Koenck on the women's side and Francis Kasagule on the men's side.

Teams participating in Friday's meet include Grambling State, Houston, Huston-Tillotson, Jackson State, McNeese State, Nicholls State, Rice, Sam Houston State, Southern Texas, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, Texas Lutheran, Texas Southern, Texas State, Tulane, UT-Pan Am and UT-San Antonio.
