AUSTIN, Texas - The Lamar University men's and women's track and field teams return to the track this weekend when they participate in the Texas Invitational at the Mike A. Meyers Track and Soccer Stadium at the University of Texas.

The meet begins at 11 a.m. with the women's hammer throw and the men's javelin. The running events get started at 1:20 a.m. with the women's 2,000 meter steeplechase.

Joining the Cardinals on the track will be Angelo State, South Florida, Texas, Texas State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UT-Pan American, UT-San Antonio (women only).
