2009 ExxonMobil Ty Terrell Relays Results

The 48th Annual ExxonMobil Ty Terrell Relays came to a close Saturday evening at the Ty Terrell Track on the campus of Lamar University.

Highlighting the men's results for Lamar was the regional qualifying performance of Craig Bailey in the long jump. The freshman from Port Arthur, Texas won the long jump with a leap of 24.28 feet in his first action of the year.

The women's meet was highlighted by Ashley Smith's sixth place finish in the 200 meter dash and Emily Carpenter's performance in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Smith posted a time of 25.01 in the 200, while Carpenter ran to a 12:16.64 finish in the steeple. Both times rank sixth in the Southland Conference this season.
