BEAUMONT, Texas - The Lamar University women's basketball team looks to keep the best record in Southland Conference play when it travels to Stephen F. Austin for an SLC contest at 6 p.m. Saturday. The game will be broadcast live on the Lamar athletics Web site: www.lamarcardinals.com.

Lamar (17-5 overall, 7-1 SLC) leads the West Division, while Stephen F. Austin (11-8, 6-2) is tied with Central Arkansas for the top spot in the East Division.

The Lady Cardinals had their seven-game winning streak snapped with a 92-77 loss at Central Arkansas on Wednesday, being whistled for a season-high 28 fouls in the process. The 92 points scored by Central Arkansas were the most by a Lamar opponent this season.

Jenna Plumley leads Lamar in scoring at 14.4 ppg. Plumley is among the top 21 in the nation in 3-point field goals, assists and steals. Kalis Loyd averages 13.9 ppg for Lamar, while Darika Hill checks in at 10.4 ppg.

Stephen F. Austin is led by Whitney Cormier's 14.5 ppg. The Ladyjacks hold a 47-7 lead in the all-time series, but Lamar has won the last four meetings between the two teams.

Following Saturday's game, the Lady Cardinals are idle for a week until hosting Texas State in a Southland Conference game at 2:05 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13 in the Montagne Center. That game has been designated as "Pink Zone Day," with all fans encouraged to ear pink in an effort to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer.

For ticket information, call the Montagne Center box office at (409) 880-2323 or visit www.lamarcardinals.com.
