BEAUMONT, Texas - The Lamar University women's basketball team opens up a three-game homestand to close the regular season by hosting Sam Houston State at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Montagne Center.

The game will be televised by the Southland Conference Network, and be shown locally on KUIL (Channel 12.3 over the air; Channel 15 on Time-Warner Cable; Channel 43 on DirecTV).

Lamar (15-12 overall, 7-6 Southland Conference) looks to improve its seeding for next month's conference tournament in Katy, Texas. The Lady Cardinals enter the weekend tied with Texas State for fifth place in the overall conference standings.

Kalis Loyd leads Lamar in scoring (15.8), rebounding (6.3), assists (75), steals (57) and minutes played (839).
