BEAUMONT, Texas – The Lamar University women’s basketball team will conduct a “red-white” scrimmage at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Montagne Center.

The event is open to the public at no charge. The Lady Cardinals, who are coming off a 16-15 record last season, their school-record fifth consecutive winning campaign, are preparing for the season opener at defending national champion Baylor at noon Nov. 9.

Lamar opens its home season at 7 p.m. Nov. 12 when it hosts UT Tyler.
