BEAUMONT, Texas - The Lamar Lady Cardinals look to extend their 33-game non-conference winning streak at the Montagne Center when they host UT Tyler at 7 p.m. Monday.

Lamar (0-1) looks to bounce back from its 80-34 season-opening loss at defending national champion Baylor on Friday.

"That's the best team we will se all year," Lamar coach Larry Tidwell said of Baylor. "I saw some good things and some things we need to work on. But we'll be OK."

Kalis Loyd, who led Lamar with 11 points against Baylor, increased her career total to 1,442 points, as she closes in on Uirannah Jackson's school record of 1,730 points.

Monday's game is the first of a brief two-game homestand for the Lady Cardinals, who host Centenary at 7 p.m. Thursday.

UT Tyler, a Division III program, was 12-13 last season. This is the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

Monday's game will be streamed live on www.LamarCardinals.com. For ticket information, call (409) 880-1715, or visit http://www.lamarcardinals.com/tickets/whoops-tickets.html.
