Rim to Rim with Lady Cardinals Basketball

Take a look at the Rim to Rim discrussion lamarcardinals.com had with sophomore Brittany Hendrix.

LC: As you start your second season with the Lady Cardinals, what do you think will be your strongest asset to bring the team?

BH: My strongest asset will be leadership. Maybe not vocally, but physically. I have learned so much from last year that I know I can be a great encourager for the freshmen this year.

LC: What goals have you set for yourself this season?

BH: My goals for this season are: attacking more on offense in order to kill teams on the free throw line; staying balanced (with school and basketball) in order to keep my GPA above average.

LC: If you weren't playing college basketball, what sport would you be playing?

BH: If I were not playing basketball, I would probably be playing volleyball. Volleyball is another one of my favorite sports. It's full of action just like basketball.

LC: What do you most look forward to after graduation?
BH: After graduation, I look forward to starting my career, not job; in an accounting firm in order to jump start my "new" life. After about 3 years or whenever I feel I have become financially stable, I plan on getting married and starting a family.

LC: What is your most prized possession and why??

BH: My Bible. It was given to me by mama for Christmas, with my name imprinted on it.

LC: If a person got to know you really well, what one thing would surprise them the most?

BH: I love to have fun and be goofy around my friends.

LC: What is the best advice you would give an incoming freshman student/athlete?

BH: Stay focused on what you came to college for. Have "legitimate fun" but also prioritize your time wisely.

LC: Who was the best player you ever played against?

BH: Tiffany Jackson, former player from the University of Texas.

LC: If you were the head coach for the Lady Cardinals for one day, what would be the first thing you would do?

BH: Take a Vacation
