Lady Cards Host Mississippi Valley State Sunday at 2 p.m.

BEAUMONT - The Lamar University women's basketball team will be in action Sunday afternoon at the Montagne Center when they take on Mississippi Valley State at 2 p.m. Fans can tune into every Lamar women's basketball game by clicking on the listen live link on the Lady Cardinals schedule page. Lamar enters the game with a 6-2 record after a 77-54 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Thursday have won six straight games at home this year, taking out Grambling State, Texas Southern, Alcorn State, LSU-Shreveport and Louisiana Monroe before beating the Lady Lions on Thursday. The Lady Cards are led by Nikki Williams who is averaging 13.5 points per game while Brittney Williams is averaging 12 points per game. Darika Hill is averaging 10.3 points and a team-high 6.9 rebounds per game while Agnija Reke leads LU with 4.75 assists per game. As a team the Lady Cardinals are averaging 62.4 points per game, while allowing an averaging of 58.6 points per contest. Mississippi Valley State enters Sunday's game with a 3-6 record on the year, on the heels of an 85-53 win over Paul Quinn on Friday night. The Devilettes are led by Kanesha Smith's 10 points per game, while Michelle Messaga leads them with 5.6 rebounds per game. After Sunday's game the Lady Cards will be off for a week before travelling to Ames, Iowa for the Iowa State Invitational on December 29th and 30th.
