Lady Cardinals Face North Dakota Monday at 5 p.m.

AMES, Iowa - The Lamar University women's basketball team will put their two game win streak on the line Monday afternoon at 5 p.m. when they take on the North Dakota Fighting Sioux in their first of two games at the Iowa State Cyclone Challenge.

After Monday's showdown with North Dakota, the Lady Cards will face either Iowa State or Niagara on Tuesday at 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. Lamar fans can tune into every Lamar women's basketball game by clicking on the listen live link on the Lady Cardinals schedule page.

Lamar enters the game with a 7-2 record after a pair of home victories over Arkansas Pine Bluff and Mississippi Valley State before taking a week off for the holidays. The wins improved LU's home record to 7-0 on the year.

The Lady Cards are led by Nikki Williams who is averaging 13.9 points per game while Brittney Williams is averaging 11.1 points per game. Darika Hill is averaging 10.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game; Trashanna Smith leads the team in rebounding with 7.4 per game, while Agnija Reke leads LU with 4.7 assists per game. As a team the Lady Cardinals are averaging 63.4 points per game, while allowing an averaging of 57.3 points per contest.

North Dakota enters Monday's game with a 5-7 record, on the heels of a 67-65 loss at Northwestern last Monday. The Fighting Sioux are led by Kierah Kimbrough who is averaging 19.8 points and 6.8 rebounds while Danye Guinn is averaging 12.2 points per contest. As a team North Dakota is averaging 75 points per game, while allowing their opponents to score 69.3 points per game.
