Ziegler Leads Lamar To Fifth At USA Lady Jaguar Invitational

MOBILE, Ala. - Hillary Zeigler shot a second-round 76 for a 153 total and a tie for seventh place to lead Lamar at the USA Lady Jaguar Invitational at the Azalea City Golf Course Tuesday.

Lamar shot a 320 in the final round for a 631 two-day total. East Tennessee State, who led the 18-team field with a 3-1 in the first round, shot a tournament-low 299 for a 600 total to win by 17 shots over Southern Miss. McNeese State was third at 627 and Belmont fourth at 629.

Therese Nilsson tied for 12th at 74-80--154, Lina Nilsson-Balfe tied for 41st at 79-82--161, Linda Persson tied for 56th at 81-82--163 and Channing Norton tied for 75th at 82-86--168 for the Lady Cardinals.

Lamar will return to action next Monday and Tuesday when they compete in the Lamar/Sam Houston State Invitational. The event will be held at the Raven's Nest in Huntsville.
