HUNTSVILLE, Texas - The first round of the Lamar/Sam Houston State Invitational was postponed until 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The opening round was scheduled to begin Monday morning at the Raven Nest Golf Club but heavy rains forced the event to start around 3 p.m. When play was suspended due to darkness, the farthest any team had completed was 12 holes.

Play will resume with a shotgun start on Tuesday at 8:30 with an attempt to play both rounds of the event by day's end.
