DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Linda Persson and Stine Pedersen both turned in top-10 performances following Friday's first round of the LPGA International Xavier Invitational at the LPGA International Legend's Course.
Persson's 70 placed her in a tie for first with Teresa Urquizu of Campbell as they were among just four players in the 81-player field to complete the par 72, 6.087-yard layout under par. The LU senior played the par fours at 2-under-par - the lowest in the tournament.
