Chris Swift is in his third season with the Lamar women's soccer program. Swift came to Lamar from the Los Angeles Legends in their inaugural season in the United Soccer Leagues' W-League, where he served as goalkeepers coach. Swift played collegiately at Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, Calif., where he was a three-time Academic All-Golden State Athletic Conference and NAIA Scholar-Athlete recipient. During his time with the Lions, he collected 138 saves, 13 wins and posted four shutouts in goal. Swift was a member of the 2004 Vanguard team that won the GSAC championship. Swift will be in charge of recruiting and will continue to work with the goalkeepers and will help in arrangement in travel and assist with camps. Swift's coaching experience includes working with San Juan Hills High School, Aliso Niguel High School and the United Football Club. Chris graduated from Vanguard in 2006 with a bachelor's degree in history/political science. His wife Marissa was a goalkeeper for the Vanguard women's soccer team. |
