FORT WORTH, Texas - The Lamar women's soccer team will play North Texas as originally scheduled on Sunday afternoon, however the game's location has been moved to the UNT Soccer Field in Denton and will kick off at 1 p.m.

Lamar (1-3) had Friday's home game with Prairie View cancelled due to Hurricane Ike. The Cardinals are coming off a week in which they recorded the first win in school history last Friday - a 2-1 triumph over South Alabama. LU dropped a 3-1 decision to Louisiana-Lafayette two days later but still showed signed of offensive improvement. In fact, Lamar's three goals through the first four games are already more than the inaugural team scored in 2007.

UNT (4-1) is coming off a 4-1 win over East Tennessee State on Friday at the UNT Soccer Field. The Mean Green's lone loss came last Sunday, 1-0 to fellow Southland Conference member UTSA. UNT has outshot its opponents in all five games this season.

The Cardinals have spent the past four days in Fort Worth training on the TCU campus. Friday night the team watched the Rice-TCU game that went into double overtime. Lamar is scheduled to play Rice next Tuesday.

In the more immediate future, Lamar is set to play Texas Southern this Tuesday, pending the availability of both teams. More details on that contest will be announced in the coming days.

From Dallas:
Enter Denton on I-35 E North and exit Bonnie Brae (Exit 467). At traffic light turn left, go under I-35 and through traffic light. Take first left. The Athletic Complex will be the first entrance on the left.

From Fort Worth:
Take I-35W North to Bonnie Brae (Exit 84). At traffic light turn right, Take first left. The Athletic Complex will be the first entrance on the left.

Ticket prices are $4 for adults, $2 for youth ages 17 and under, with 2-year-olds and younger admitted free.
