CONWAY, Ark. - The Lamar University women's tennis team rolled to an impressive 7-0 victory over host Central Arkansas in a Southland Conference match Sunday.
Lamar (6-5 overall, 2-1 conference) lost just one set in singles competition and swept the doubles competition.
"We played very well today," Lamar coach David Wong said. "It was a great win for us."
Mariaryeni Gutierrez was a 6-0, 6-1 winner over Petra Keilova at first singles for Lamar, while Kaltrina Harbuzi cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 decision over Lisa Mainz at second singles to highlight Lamar's victory.
Central Arkansas fell to 1-4 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Lamar returns to action at 9 a.m. Monday with a non-conference game at Arkansas State.
