BEAUMONT – It was a dominating performance on Friday afternoon as the Lamar women’s tennis team swept past visiting Central Arkansas for a 7-0 victory at Beaumont Municipal Tennis Complex.
“I was very impressed with my team’s performance today,” head coach David Wong said. “I think everyone in the conference is pretty solid, and the girls came out today and competed to the fullest. I think this might be the best performance of the year for us.”
The Lady Cardinals, who picked up victories at all three doubles spots as well as all six singles, improved to 7-7 on the year with a 3-1 mark in Southland play. UCA dropped to 6-12 and 0-5, respectively.
