WACO, Texas - The doubles team of Carolina Salas and Helene Czudek picked up a pair of wins on Sunday to advance to the consolation final as the Lamar women's tennis team wrapped up day three at the ITA Regional at Hurd Tennis Center.

"It was a good day," head coach David Wong said. "Helene and Carolina picked up a win over Texas to get to the semi-final, and the other team pulled out, so we're going to have the final tomorrow."

Czudek and Salas started the day off with an 8-4 win over Sam Houston State's Nadia Dubyanskaya and Tatyana Postnikova and notched another victory in the afternoon with a 9-7 over Juliana Gajic and Annat Rabinovich of Texas.

In the main draw, the doubles team of Carolina Maso and Alicia Porte fell 8-3 to UT's Aeriel Ellis and Noel Scott.

Play will continue on the campus of Baylor on Monday.
