2012 Tennis Camp Flier

BEAUMONT - Area youth looking to improve their tennis games will have ample opportunities this summer as Lamar University will be offering five weeks of instruction at the Thompson Family Tennis Center.

Each of the five camps will run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Thursday at a cost of $150 per camper. There will be beginner and intermediate/advanced level camps, as well as discounts offered for returning campers, campers from the same family and Lamar University family members.

The beginner camp will focus on technical skills and stroke development, while the intermediate/advanced camp will help develop the player's ability to implement strategy and gain experience in match-play situations in addition to improving stroke development and technical skills.

The camp dates are June 4-7, June 11-14, June 18-21, June 25-28 and July 23-26. Each camper will receive a camp T-shirt.

Quality instruction will be provided by LU women's head coach David Wong and men's head coach Scott Shankles, as well as current and former players.
