The Lamar University volleyball team was taken down 3-0 Saturday night, falling to the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks at the Montagne Center.
The Ladyjacks opened the match with a 30-23 win, and took a 2-0 lead into the break with a 30-19 win in game two. In game three Stephen F. Austin pulled away from a closely contested game, to close out the match with a 30-23 win.
Lamar (9-15, 5-4) was led by Buchi Okoh's nine kills in the match, while Adrianne Meengs posted a double-double with 25 assists and 15 digs. Meagan Adams also posted double digit digs with 10.
Stephen F. Austin was led by Lauren Railey's 18 kills, JJ Jones passed out 47 assists and Stephanie Figgers collected 31 digs.
The Lady Cardinals will be in action again Tuesday night, when they take on McNeese State at the Montagne Center at 7:30 p.m.
