BEAUMONT - The Lamar University volleyball team had their seven match win streak snapped by UTSA on Saturday, falling to the Roadrunners 3-0 at the Convocation Center.

The loss drops the Lady Cards season record to 11-9 overall and 9-2 in Southland Conference play, while UTSA improves to 16-9 overall and 8-3 in league play.

The Lady Cardinals never got going offensively, falling 25-16, 25-13 and 25-15 for the straight set loss. For the match the Lady Cards hit just .099 while the Roadrunners hit a scorching .330.

Lamar will be back in action on Friday at 7 p.m. when they take on league leader Texas State at McDonald Gym.
