BEAUMONT, Texas - Lamar University sophomore middle blocker Jayme Bazile was named the Southland Conference Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week the conference announced Monday.

Bazile was named all-tournament at the Lamar Invitational, the fourth consecutive all-tournament honor for Bazile this year. She hit .636 with 17 kills and three block assists against league rival McNeese State to lead the Lady Cardinals to a conference opening win. Bazile hit .458 with 14 kills and seven total blocks in the win over Louisiana-Lafayette. She raised her season attack percentage to .343, which is ranked third in the Southland, and leads the league with 63 blocks.

Lamar (5-7 overall, 1-0 SLC) returns to action at 7 p.m. Thursday with a conference match at Nicholls.
