Five Questions With Andrea Hamilton
Question 1: Last year the libero spot floated between you and Alex Brink, what has it taken for you to get to this point as the starting libero? Answer: I have put in a lot of hard work. Of course playing good defense is a key for all libero, but doing the little things that a libero does like calling shots and yelling cover have helped me a lot. Question 2: What do you think is the strength and weakness of your game? Answer: I think I'm a better passer than I am a defender. Passing has always come natural to me but defense is what I really try to work on everyday because it doesn't come natural to me. Being more rangy and going after balls that don't come right to me is what I work on the most. Question 3: The majority of your losses this season have come in close matches and not been 3-0. What can you all do to turn those losses into wins? Answer: Even in the matches we've lost I think we have started out strong but then we get relaxed and lose our edge. We need to focus on coming out strong every game with the mentality that we're going to win is going to help us out a lot. Question 4: What do you think the strength of this team is? Answer: We're a very offensive team. Although it is improving, I don't think our defense is the strength of our team. Our strength is in our hitting and our blocking. Question 5: If you could change places with any teammate of yours, who would it be and why? Answer: If I could trade places it would probably trade places with Adrianne Meengs. I like her spirit on the court. No matter if we are down or up, she is always getting on the players to motivate them. Plus she's such a gifted athlete; I really look up to her.
