BEAUMONT - Fans will have multiple opportunities to catch a glimpse of the 2012 Lamar cross country teams this fall as the Cardinals will host two events, including the Southland Championships in October.

The first chance to catch LU will be at the Cardinal Relays, held locally at Claiborne West Park on August 31, before the teams hit the road for the Rice Invitational in Houston on September 14.

The men's team, which is coming off a sixth consecutive Southland Conference Championship, will then head to the Panorama Farms Invitational in Earlysville, Va., on September 22, while the women's team will compete at the LSU Invitational in Baton Rouge.

The teams will close out the regular season with the Pre-National Invitational in Louisville, Ky., on October 13 before returning home for the SLC Championships at Tyrrell Park on October 26.
